Fall 2008

Hello Everyone. It is fall and we are all doing well. Landon will be 6 months old on October 8th. He is getting so big. He is starting to eat "real" food this week as he had his first taste of Green Beans. He didn't like them very much, but did eat them all! As for Grant, he is turning into such a big boy. We celebrated his 3rd birthday on August 23rd, hard to believe it. Grant loves his birds and movies. All he talks about is Bald Eagles and the Movie Store. We rent him two new movies each week and that is all he ever wants to do is watch his new movies. He deserves it though as he is such a good big brother and a good little boy.

Jenn and I are both doing well. We got over Jenn's health scare a few weeks ago. The doctors found some growth on her liver, but nothing to be concerned about, all is well now. Work is going well for the both of us, although the markets scare the heck out of me being in the financial services industry. Jenn and I look forward to Halloween with the boys. My twin brother Jay is visiting from Denver in two weeks and then my folks will be here as well the weekend of Halloween. They are all very excited to see their nephews and Grandsons as they live so far away. We made our annual trip up to the Clay County Fair about a month ago and had a great time! Grant loves his "horsees" and mommy and daddy love their fair food!

We hope this latest post finds you all well. We wish you all a happy and healthy "fall season". I know Jenn and I love Fall, it is our favorite time of year. Take care as we hope to see/talk to you all soon!!!

The New Willoughby Family Blog

Welcome to the Willoughby Family Blog!!! I am new to this, so please bear with me as I learn more.

All is well with the four of us. It is hot here is Des Moines today, and of course, VERY HUMID!!! All that aside, the boys are good. Landon is growing by the second, he is up to 17 pounds already. He is such a good boy. He eats a ton and sleeps a lot too. He never cries, unless he is hungry...really the perfect baby (so far, knock on wood for me please).

Grant is growing up so fast as well. He will be three years old on August 23rd. Let me repeat that. He will be THREE YEARS OLD on August 23rd. Where does time go? It seems like yesterday I was changing his diapers..oh wait, I did actually change his diaper yesterday...LOL. Seriously though, he has grown up so fast. He is old enough now to tell me "Stop It" 54 times a day. He knows how to work a DVD player and turn the tv on to play it himself...unreal at his age. He is so smart!

Jenn and I are doing well. We celebrated our first wedding anniversary on July 14th while we were out in Colorado. We got a couples massage at a very nice spa in downtown Denver, then went for pedicures and then out for dinner at a very nice Italian restaurant. It was such a nice day, we both really enjoyed it. Jenn has not been feeling well lately, but is doing well overall. We are both very busy, but I suppose life is better that way. We aren't doing too much this weekend (I don't think), but I suppose that will change as the weekend gets here. I am going to a Red Sox game in Kansas City this coming Monday night with a friend, so that is exciting. It is my first time seeing them in person, so I am really looking forward to it. I then turn around and leave for Windsor, Connecticut (a suberb of Hartford) on Tuesday afternoon for three days. Duty calls out there and I must go. It appears as if a monthly trip out there won't be out of the question going forward. As far as work for Jenn, she is kicking A$$ and taking names as they say. She is continually booked which is a good thing. I am so proud of her, I really have noticed her confidence go up now that she has been cutting hair for five years...she knows what she is doing and it shows..one of Des Moines' very best! That is all for me...take care and God Bless!
